Nepal Earthquake: How you can help now and in the future?
Those of us who are from and have connection to Nepal are in shock at the devastation and loss of lives caused (more than 7000 lives claimed until now) by a magnitude of 7.8 richter scale earthquake. As emergency teams reach the communities affected by the earthquake, they are warning of scenes of complete devastation. As the Nepali diaspora in Arizona, we want to stand with our native land in its time of need and offer our heartfelt support – both financially and spiritually. Our immediate focus will be to provide much needed aid to help relief efforts. We are also cognizant that the bigger challenge is rebuilding peoples’ lives over the long term. We want to offer our support for that too.
